It seems Ann is well aware of the problem because the second batch looks like this (pic from Komakino). Except for the handle it's SOLID. I used it to carry a bunch of books and magazines, easily 15-20kg, as a carry-on on several flights (saved me over 100 euros in overweight charges each time) and the bag didn't break a sweat.

leather is a terrible material for laptop case, that's why nobody makes them.

Added: I got a pretty good laptop case from Vaio for my laptop. Can't say it's 'wow', but its durable, black and sexy (please nobody quote a penis joke here haha).

looking for a nice leather duffle/boston or messenger style bag with a shoulder strap that's large enough to use as a gym/overnight bag (fit a pair of shoes, change of clothes, towel, etc.), any recommendations?

I've been looking for something similar, thought about getting this Silent bag but the price is a bit steep for a canvas bag imo

that is nice, agree that the price is quite lofty for a canvas bag though. I prefer leather as it doesn't damage the fabric of your clothes from rubbing against it as you carry it like canvas does and because, well I like leather.

thanks however I already owned a similar bag. great size and fantastic quality as usual but I'd really prefer something with a shoulder carry strap.
