This is an interesting and rather infuriating link via SuperFuture: Diesel basically ripping off Rick Owens' look (with a bit of Ann Dem assymetrical cardi action) with their Black & Gold collection. I'm appalled.

Why would he be more justified in suing them than any of the other brands that all feed of each others (and Rick)? Because this doesn't come "from the heart"!!??

Well, on a selfish note, yes, because it's Rick. Well, more like because he is one of the existing few successful independent designers (who moreover started recently). On a non-selfish note, it's because they ripped off not just one garment, but the entire collection, the whole aesthetic of the brand that will now get diluted. To give you an analogy - imagine your most favorite band, whose music goes right to your heart. All of a sudden you see a million people listening to it without understanding it. This music is now debased, and has turned into kitsch. It does not mean that you shouldn't enjoy it, surely, but you know you will have that sour feeling of deep disappointment.
