I dunno, something about that annoys me. Maybe I'm just a snob, but Lil Wayne's aura or aesthetic doesn't seem to mesh with my idea of RO (same way I feel about Justin Timberlake wearing them).... I like Thom Yorke and the shoes more... then again, maybe I should just stop talking.

All of the streetwear blogs do mention DBSS. The sneakers, anyway. I know at least a few stylists have been working to track down the sneakers from this season too. Funny for it to all come together.

It is the stylists that get these things for the celebrities, but it seems quite natural for the streetwear-interested to be drawn to interesting high top sneakers. They always have. To the stylists it is just about keeping their clients looking unique to the rest of the general public.

No need to worry or think deeply into it -- just be happy that your favourite brands are getting the recognition they deserve. Especially in the current economic situation, these small brands (obviously some smaller than others) need all the business and attention they can get.
