Hang on, didn't he do menswear? In 07 or 08? I remember it looking slightly gothic-meets-Beuys with wide brimmed hats?
The 06 Fall collection for women is one of my favorite collections. Just stunning.

Cheers Faust and thanks NDF, so he has discontinued his own menswear line (and is only doing Boss for men)? I'm echoing others that it is great to see how his work has developed. Does anyone have information about his ideas / influences for the different seasons? I vaguely remember that he mentioned that he was looking at Dutch/Flemish portraits for the 06 fall collection (I searched for the thread, but couldn't find it). I guess I am interested in his sources of reference for his tailoring, which seems so determined and specific.

My pleasure! Here is a little bio, so we can get a bit closer, but yes it would be interesting to get more in depth references ...
The belgian born Bruno Pieters graduated from the Royal Academy of Antwerp with honours in 1999 and went straight to work as an assistant designer for Martin Margiela, Josephus Thimister and Christian Lacroix Haute Couture. He also worked as a freelance designer for companies such as New York Industry (Milan) and Antonio Pernas (Madrid).
In july 2001, Bruno presented as first belgian graduate of the Royal Academy for Fine Arts Antwerp a couture collection during Paris Couture Week. The collection was entitled part I: daywear. the suit. The first couture collection was a small presentation of 12 pieces based on the study of one item, such as the suit.
Suzy Menkes from the Herald Tribune described Bruno as 'an intriguing new talent'.
Launching his first complete ready to wear collection in march 2002, his latest collections are inspired by Pieters' penchant for technique and craftmanship.
Bruno Pieters is first and foremost "a couturier", a technicien who experiments with shape and proportion in his collections.
Bruno's work reflects the contrast between romanticism and realism, the relationship between life and art.
Currently Bruno Pieters is working for belgian's most prestigious leather house: Delvaux.
In March 2004 he provided costumes/skirts for the latest danceperformance 'Kassandra' of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker (Rosas).
Roìsin Murphy, better known as Moloko, wore outfits of Bruno Pieters during the events at the TMF awards in January 2004.
Bruno has participated to several exhibitions throughout the world such as "goddess" in collaboration with MoMu, Antwerp 2004.
Bruno Pieters designed masks for the ‘Bal Masqué’ event in the Fashion Museum in Antwerp in April 2004.
In 2003 he collaborates on the t-shirt exhibition 'safe the children' , a charity event, organised by Addition Adelaide in Tokyo.
In 2003 he participated in the photo exhibition with singer Els Pynoo of 'Vive la fête' in 'le musée galliera' in Paris.
In 2003, Bruno Pieters participated in the’other fashion proposals’ exhibition at the Fashion Museum of Barcelona in Spain.
For the project 'Mode dit is Belgisch' he collaborates on the exhibition in the Forum in Antwerp.
In 2002 an exhibition is organised by the Fashion Museum Antwerp and was entitled 'Backstage', where silhouettes of Bruno’s couture collections were exposed.
In 2000 Bruno presented his graduation collection in the ‘Walter Gallery’ ,owned by belgian designer walter van beirendonck ,in Antwerp.
For 'Pitti Filati' ,in 1999 ,some of Bruno’s designs were chosen as 'most creative knitwear' by the Flanders Fashion Institute and linea piu. These designs were shown during the pitti filati fair.
In 1999 he participated in the ‘geometry’ exhibition at the museum of modern art in Antwerp.
Bruno Pieters collaberated on the ‘Wire works paper Exhibition’, fashion Museum, Hasselt in Belgium in 1996.
