Hahaha!! I ask the same of our maker. I say that with absolute empathy Zamb. Not the biggest fan of those though. A bit too colonial for my sensibilities.

I like the rawness of it,........and the fact that the laces are not visible, i used to loooovvvveeee shoes with buckles, i've learned how to balance it out now

the leather shirt seems to be the only thing that looks half decent..

cardi looks like somthing i can diy with some 3 dollar knit. i dont care what its made of... epic fail in my books it and I dont even want to start on those shoes

Don't want to particularly harp on about this, but I'm genuinely interested to understand the appeal. I know that you don't go there for a perfectly or classically tailored suit; that's obvious. Do'nt think it's the model either - an arm's an arm. There's nothing wrong with quirk, or detail, or unusual fabric, or construction. My point is that if the quirk is impractical and serves no useful purpose is it just decoration for the sake of it? OK - he decides to make the sleeve section out of one piece of fabric - the result is that the sleeves look weird. He didn't (I suspect) decide to make a sleeve that looked crumpled and out of shape, and then concluded that the only way to do this was a single-piece construction. So it looks a bit like he just did it for the sake of using a single piece of fabric, on the basis that this in itself would look good.

don't think the single piece construction can really be interpreted as a decorative or superfluous intervention; the reductive minimalism found in his designs suggest an interest in disappearance.. and given his architectural background it would seem that the structural integrity of the monolithic is paramount. by eliminating even the most fundamental seams in the whole one can maximize form and structural qualities - which is why it seems a bit contradictory that particular suit is done in a plaid texture that cuts up the monolithic unity.. a contradiction he is playing with i would imagine..

No sacrifice of function whatsoever. It still amazes me how the the anchor points on my pants, bags and wallet don't start stretching or tearing with season after season of heavy use. One would think with the softening of the fabrics and leathers that there would be deterioration with construction of this kind, but nope. Solid wardrobe investments.
