                Re: Videogames

I had a Xbox 360, but it broke (about three weeks out of warranty), and I haven't gotten it fixed. I don't really enjoy a lot of newer games. All I really care about is good basic gameplay mechanics - I can't really give a damn about story or cinematics - so games like Bioshock bore me.

I've been playing CPS2/Neo Geo emulators recently - Dimahoo, Progear, DoDonPachi, Metal Slug 3, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves - stuff like that.

^ the metal slug series is easily my favourite arcade series of all time [Y]. stoked that they are releasing Metal Slug 7 on DS.</p>

looking forward to Soul Calibur IV at the end of the month, I played SC2 to death back on the gamecube and the new game is looking stellar.

bumping this old thread. what has everyone been playing lately, any new games on your radar?

been pretty busy lately with uni, job hunting, etc. so haven't had much time for gaming. played a bit of Soul Calibur IV, multiplayer is absolutely fantastic and the new tower mode is challenging. played through Star Wars: The Force Unleashed recently, interesting storyline that ties the two trilogies together and the force powers are fun to screw around with it's just a shame that everything else about the game is kinda meh. also bought Siren: New Translation for PS3 but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Played some Soul calibur 4 for a day before going out of town to work for more than a month, now I'll try to get those treasures on the tower mode.

                      Waiting for winning eleven 2009.

wipeout hd is going to be release worldwide today on PSN. only $20 or something, cheap! love this futuristic-racing-series.

really looking forward to wipeout hd too, the PSN has had some quality titles lately like bionic commando rearmed, ratchet & clank, and siren: blood curse.

next month is going to be a pretty big month in terms of game releases, stand out titles for me are dead space and fallout 3

don't think I played bionic commando when it first hit the stands for the 8-bit, so I really don't feel the retro-feelings kicking in for it, allthough it's made by swedes! :)

might even buy mega man 9 today, pretty big update with the fact that burnout paradise also will be released for download at PSN (not that I care about burnout, but it's a pretty big thing for it's fans).

never was a big fan of the megaman series, they just don't do anything for me. burnout paradise is a good game but I tired of it quickly just like I do with most other racing game.

the wii had a couple of good releases lately with the retro 2d platformer Wario Land and a quality Australian third partly title de Blob. the release schedule for the wii is looking pretty bleak atm though with no new games of interest even announced...

bought wii at the release, played through Zelda and got tired of the wait for Mario Galaxy and Smash Brothers so I sold it in favour for the PS3. mostly I use it to watch tv-series. guess I lost a bit of the gaming-frenzy I hade a couple of years ago, but wipeout is a must!

never really gave megaman a chance, always though it was to hard, but something tells me that this part is going to be easier, a way to get new customers into the series. or it might be so goddamn hard even the lovers get tired of it.
