What to do with a squeeky leatherjacket, all tips are welcome!

Also noticed white marks from the rain. I can clean it, but is there anything to prevent this from happening?

nothing much to do honestly, you kind of let reverse leather do its thing, you can use water to clean and suede protectant to avoid stains...

          Hi,

I'd like to soften a fairly thick, rigid, horse leather CCP high neck.

It is a pearl white colour, which I'd like to preserve if possible.

Any recommendations on product and process?

          Thanks.

Looks like mold to me given the color and the pattern of distribution.

Strange as it is the only item in my closet to 'mold'.

Is it as simple as wiping it down with a wet cloth? Or must I invest in a leather cleaner/reviver/conditioner/whatever-else?

Good question. I am not sure. I'd take it to a leather specialist to see what they say. To see how affected the leather beneath the whiteness (presuming mold), see what happens with a moist cloth. The fact that the lining of the jacket also has the same type of changes to it makes me think its mold-like as it grew into all of the material.

The other thought would be that the inside came in contact with some liquid that over a period of time was caustic/acidic enough to affect the fabric and leather. More noticeable on the inside as if it had seeped inwards and only partially penetrated to the outside...

Both of those explanations make sense. Appreciate it.

Brings me to my second question -
Anyone know of any leather cleaners/fixers in the Bay Area?

                      Marks on RO Milk Geo

So I'm in the process of buying a RO Milk Geo and my proxy gave me this picture of some unforeseen marks.

What products would be best to remove/cover up these marks? FWIW, the jacket is made of calf leather (RO leather code LR). I have the option of trying to get a refund from the seller, but unless the rest of the jacket is in rough shape, I don't think that's necessary.

I just received a Devoa Samurai belt and it is about an inch too long for it to fit me properly. Can I get it wet with warm water, dry it in the sun, and then treat it with conditioner to shrink it? Is there any other method that you folks could suggest that would work? Or should I just resell it?

                          CCP scarstiched in horse

                          H guys,

I like to keep a nice sheen on my CCp scarstiched jacket in horse and was wondering if I should treated with some kind of polishing product ( like Saphir etc.) or just use dry cloth.

                          thanks

I am betting that a neutral polish like creme delicate from Meltonian or a similar product from Saphir would work. If not, then I would CAREFULLY try a Staedler Mars Plastic Eraser or Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean.

Thanks for the tips. I don't have any neutral polish so I tried the Magic Eraser and it worked like a charm.
