More tomorrow. Two things I have to say.

1) Helmut Lang should be under "visionaire" in a dictiionary.

2) These models are so much more beautiful than the malnourished stick figures that walk the catwalks now.

I've never seen any of those images before, and each one of them is so inspiring and full of traces of influences on present day designers. It's as if he is Shakespeare, he told all the stories already, and everything that comes after it is just another version of what has been told before.

Are these pictures from your personal collection? Or have you found a new treasure box somewhere :)

and I have to agree with Faust, these models are much healthier looking, and more attractive as a result.

for the first time in ages I'm catching myself staring at models' breasts as opposed to the designer's clothing...

I can't believe that Kate Moss looks healthy in comparison to today's models!

I have to say I enjoyed the the space of the HL stores as much as the garments in it, the clothing hidden within the monolithic black display boxes set on the raw concrete floor. .

The store concept was conceived by Richard Gluckman and the electronic ticker tape installation found in all the stores are by Jenny Holzer. Some stores had sculptures by Louise Bourgeios, can't find any pics of those unfortunately

These photos are great. Allow a deeper level of understanding of Lang along with seeing how his stuff progressed throughout the years.

Good to see shots of the old HL store as well. What a fun joint it used to be... that and Bagutta for their salesssss
