In the Sep. Vogue Helmut is reminiscing on two pages. Says he's cool with current designers referencing him. And he loves New York.

I miss those days in which showing a collection in the Espace Commines was still cool - Helmut made the stripped back white cube, art house surrounding somewhat his own, nailed down with Richard Gluckmann's store design that felt uncontrived and not as over-designed as any new Rem Koolhas/Herzog de Meuron Prada or whoever elses store design is nowadays praised by the press. It's been a painful experience seeing the Paris store turned into a stuffy Miu Miu boutique a few years back!
