The tag code list to identify the correct season of a garment from 2000 and onward, i.e. with numerical sizing

    in alphabetical order:

    HB -- SS00, AW06
    HC -- AW10
    HE -- SS02, AW08
    HJ -- SS10, AW04
    HM -- SS08, AW02
    HN -- AW05
    HQ -- SS03
    HR -- SS06
    HT -- SS07, AW00
    HU -- AW03
    HV -- SS09, AW01
    HX -- SS01, AW07
    HY -- SS05
    HZ -- SS04, AW09

I'm reasonably sure that this list is correct, but please correct any mistake. For full disclosure, I have seen one piece (turtleneck) with numerical sizing which was marked HA. This was the only time I've seen HA tagged.

Do you know if the fabric numbers are non-seasonal?

Yeah, I'm also confused why they use the same code for different seasons. When seeing a garment in person, it's usually easy to identify as a spring or fall piece but in pictures it can be tricky if there are no signature details to be seen.

wire.artist and chameleon, you guys rock.

I don't even want to know why my shirt has 'B' as the garment type. Blouson? Blouse?

    Thanks a lot guys.

Any idea how it works before the '00s?

I've got a YYPH jacket that starts with HF, sized M.

And then a YYPH suit (with the older-looking signature on the label) that's entirely without the numbering system.

Another question i've always wondered about: when did Yohji use the Y's for men tag with a SHIRT stencilled on it?
