I hate to be cliche, but I bought a LV Monogram Keepall a while back and didn't think much of its authenticity at the time as it came with a receipt. Recently one of my friends said they though it may be a copy. Anyone got any knowledge? I've checked all the guides and they don't seem to indicate anything is wrong.

P.S. it was bought from eBay as used two or three times.

Here's a link to the pictures.

Hmmm, thought it would be funny to bid $100 and won...do we think these could POSSIBLY be real? If so, I'm stoked... but he says he paid $280 from LN-CC which seems unlikely. These were nearly $1000 at Antonioli, right?

He just sent me those tag pics.

looks fake to me, there are tons and tons of these floating around, no tag pics seem to seal the deal, sorry man. I have the real ones and the shape of these are totally wrong.

                Send to CH Boutique

I've only come across two fakes and the differences were obvious on one and not so obvious on the other. The obvious one I saw, the design was slightly modified. The not so obvious one had a slightly blueish cast to it. Only noticed the difference when the sales rep at CH held them next to each other.

Check your sources. Who or where was it purchased from? Stay clear of the Bay. Too risky.

eBay can be a real treasure for CH jewellery if you're certain what you're buying is authentic. Because of all the fake stuff that's on sale that typically has better photos, a lot of genuine stuff (that tends to not look as good) goes somewhat unnoticed.

For me the most prominent indication of a honest seller is that he is a person. And you can infer that from inspecting their feedback (both as a buyer and seller), seeing if they're selling other items and not just a boatload of jewellery, and also making sure their feedback is above the typical 10-60 you see in most scammers. Furthermore, most fake CH sellers seem to be using that Auctiva list thing in their listing descriptions, and overall after a while you can tell very easily simply from their descriptions.

That said, I've never seen any fake CH items with stones.

So tempted to bid but maybe I need to do more research first before buying them on ebay

The RU number is correct but I can't really tell much about the pants because the auction photo looks like it was taken with a potato.

Content/RU number all look correct if you check number 8 here.

If he paid that price at LN-CC, he must have got them on clearance.

For future reference, I think we've hit the point where the tags don't mean a whole lot anymore. Especially photos of tags. If you were going to knock off a specific cut and fabric, you'd just scan the tag directly and print it directly onto a nylon tag. So I think short of holograms, you're going to have to wait until you're holding them before you'll be able to tell and even then, it may be difficult.

That Rick tag is fake, I am 99.9% certain.

K, that's just weird as fuck. They are the exact same pants I bought and got scammed over - same size and style. Their photos matches mine. They are definitely fake. You can see the photos below that I took of them when I had them because I was checking for authentication back in this thread somewhere.
