I'm going to argue and say it's legit, has to be FW13 did he specify to you? I'm guessing from the color-way and the padding that it's FW13, and only so because those zippers are not being in use anymore.

based on couple things, I'd say it's fake:
- White Rick Owens logo stiched inside: Never seen this but could be wrong.
- Font used in the tags: looks to bold for me
- Stitchwork looks off everywhere: especially from zipper to frontpockets. Other geo's show a straight line where this line has angle in it. Also arm stitches show two lines whereas others show more like 4 stitchlines
-from pictures the funnelneck shows poor quality wool and overal jacket looks shabby

Could also be that Rick shifted to cheap factories. Maybe others with the actual jacket could chime in on the details, but I wouldn't touch this.

LP is the fabric code for hammered lamb or heavy washed lamb, that lamb is smooth and thin

I think the white stitching was in earlier seasons like 09. To be quite honest, for me it is not so clear this jacket is fake, maybe someone who owns/has owned can share some light.
