    Neil Barrett Mens FW07-08

I like how Neil is progressing from the Pradaish sportswear that he used to (well, at Prada and) in his earlier collections to edgier, more tailored stuff. I think he is becoming a better version of Costume National.

Neil Barrett is definitely coming into his own. Over the last few seasons, quality is rising, and prices are maintaining. Although I think the hats are a bit silly, the outfits actually mesh well.

no comment on the shearlings faust? hahaha.

i really really dislike that wrinkled leather jacket he did this past f/w. i see it everywhere and it looks terrible (and it's expensive).

but i agree, he's coming up. think its still expensive for what it is though.

Haha, not the best shearling I've seen.

Actually I think this collection is rubbish. It feels like a mirror image of Costume National's 2006/07 fall line. My problem with Neil Barrett is that he doesn't seem to have his own distinct style,so much so that I'm never compelled to purchase any item from any of his collections. It feels like a mash of Ann D. / Raf / Costume National / et al., and it always feels too safe and derivative from aforemented labels...

I immediately thought of the current CN winter collection too. It's the hats, in particular. The Neil Barrett remix is considerably blander than the original.
