it’s nice to see maxime buechis artwork in here. these skulls look really refreshing, especially that guy on mikes arm.
i havent followed his tattooing as much as his graphic/editorial design (sangbleu et al.), but it looks way less ecclectic.

such a combination of classical motives and math could well be my first one. wait and see. thanks for sharing!

I've been thinking about subjecting my body to the work of Yann Black....

I'm about halfway through a 3/4 sleeve and was asking my current artist about Yann Black during my last sitting. She was in awe of his line work, said it was some of the best in the game. I'm sure youve seen some of the 2.5 ft lines he's done....perfectly straight, no variation in thickness.

So here was the negative for me, it appears he works from his own head with very minimal input. You could tell him, for example, I want an armpiece with one of the dogs or just lines. The rest is all on him. Essentially, you have to be a huge fan and put a great amount of trust that he will come up with something you like.

yeah I love Black's line work for sure. It's what has drawn me to his designs. I'm quite happy to just let him do his thing with just a few guidelines and wants.

I've heard that the best way to get access to some of the folks like Hooper is to catch them at conventions/when they travel. Not sure about the opportunities but it seems like he goest to the west coast every so often...

Thanks! I am lucky to have a friend that also happens to be a great tattoo artist. They aren't free but they are a lot less than most of the clothes discussed on this forum.

I was planning on getting the Jasper Johns piece in March but I think I'll put it off for a year or so.

can you please stop using photobucket for your images and then deleting them? i'm so curious of how your tattoos look like now, but there's no traces of them!
