Seems to me there is no auto log-out on this forum. Hence people (like me) who frequently forget to log out seem to be lurking when we're in fact not looking at the site at all.

I enjoy reading the discussions even if I don't contribute as much as I want to. I'll probably try to start doing something on a weekly format (i.e. a short film/book/expo/etc. recommendations)

I think the forum is great and while, to a certain extent, it would be nice to have a greater diversity of contibuters and contributions, it should retain its niche aspect, with actually informative and entertaining posts (i.e. no dumb, one line questions like "is Louis Vuitton still like totally the coolest y'all?").

However, I would be interested in knowing what percentage of the people who signed up actually post. While it might be nice to see that 350 or so people have joined, if 3/4 of them don't post, then the number becomes sort of meaningless.

Sounds great Fuuma, would definitely like to hear what you have to say about alot of those subjects!

I personally love the feel on the forum, it moves at JUST under the ideal pace I would say. I can keep up for once ;)

i was wondering if a chatroom could be added? i know the one that was unofficially linked to one of the other forums was a nice informal place to network and gossip without cluttering up the board or sending millions of pm's ...and i need to waste more of my employers time

According to the "users" page, approximately half of registered members have at least 1 post, 2 out of every 9 members has at least 10 posts, and 17 members have more than 100. So there's quite a bit of lurking going on. Hopefully in the upcoming year the "core" group will expand as lurkers start coming more and more out of the woodworks.

However, moreso than other forums I've seen, many members with extremely few posts seem to be linked to "fashion" as employment or primary pursuit, and will often only jump in with perhaps 1 distinct post on a topic, and then go back to lurking.

Linking is easy.

1. Copy the URL you want to link

2. In your post highlight any text you want to serve as a title for your link.

3. Click a chain button (it will come on once you highlight any text).

4. Paste the link in the window that pops up.

5. Hit "insert"

I guess I'm a lurker then, I wish I could contribute more than I do, but for now I'll just keeping reading.

I love the forum and everything, the only thing that really bugs me is the logo next to the "StyleZeitgeist.com" at the top, it just looks bad to me.

EDIT: And yeah, almost forgot. What's up with the ad-space on the first side. Is it supposed to look like that, a big black border and a word inside it? Not trying to be unkind, just a bit curious.

These are some quirks that I haven't had time to work out. I suggest changing your theme to "blue" in your profile preferences, you should see everything working. You should see the image on the front page after you log in.
