Montreal get together april 27-28

Hi, we're planning a Montreal get together next weekend to drink and be merry. Post in this thread for details and ideas.

I know DDodongho (sp) should also be present so let's hear from him too!!!

BTW we need to reach out tointeresting Montrealers that don't post here so any suggestions?

Well since we've got someone visiting from out of town I'd say a relatively unusual place where we can sit down, talk and have a few drinks would be good. Either something along the line of the Gogo Lounge (very kitschy 60s) or somewhere we can sit outside and take advantage of the fair weather we now have.

A terrasse might be great, depending on the weather obviously. I'm down with whatever establishment you guys pick, I'm not up to date on the Montreal bars.

Gogo would be a nice place.

As deuxmille says, if the weather is as it currently is, a terrasse would be great. Something like Les Folies at St. Denis and Mont-Royal?

Looks like it'll be the only rainy day we'll have in quite some time ;(

I suggest we met at a cafe (like république on the corner of sherbrooke and st-denis, an area that our Vancouverian friend will surely be visiting) at an early time and go from there.

Once we settle for a place and time I'll ask people to message me.

BTW who'se messaging Kasper (from sufu)?

Is mass reading this thread?

Maybe it could be good for people to list certain places that they usually frequent. This can give us all ideas as to where we would like to go and maybe there are common places that we can all agree to.

Im sure everyone is pretty easy going as to where to go, just an idea though

Meeting at a central café is the best idea I think. We can just drift depending on our collective mood.

This is of course open to alteration and ideas, feel free.

As per Fuuma's earlier idea:

Gogo Lounge at 7pm on Saturday. 3682 St. Laurent, west side of the street between Prince Arthur and Ave. des Pins.

I figure that this is a pretty central location, if dohhnggo is staying at Godin it'll be a 5 minute walk for him, so easy to find, and we can see where the night takes us from there, plenty of options.
