another artist drowns in the abyss of DADA. i don't know why anybody goes there, and so blatantly. finding inspiration in it, name checking it, is tantamount to saying you have no ideas, new or old, left.
One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.
Give me a shoelace, a gumdrop and a mr. coffee and I'll make you some hobo chili!
In all honesty I'm losing faith in Ann. This collection (as well as the last couple) have been mediocre at best. Rising prices with lowering quality aren't helping either. There's thin fabrics and then there are so-gossamer-thin-that-they'll-rip-and-tear-just-taking-them-off-of-the-store-hanger thin. Choosing such fabrics is just plain bad. I've known more than a few people who have purchased some of the thin light sweaters of Ann's from the past few seasons and every single one had a rip, tear or pull. There were so many damaged ones when I saw them last fall in Boston left on the racks it looked like they had been to war and back.
The scissor necklace is a cop out for that kind of price for sure! Also the dada tees for $300+! yikes! I can't believe even the simple white tank is on the order of $200. She needs to bring back the era of THE Ann boots!
I hate to say it but nothing stands out for me. The sneakers are interesting but not amazing. I wore an old Ann Blazer that I almost forgot about the other day. It really reminded me of how the quality used to be. AND I have just about had it with her buttons falling off. Everything I have from the last year has lost at least one and I had to re attach two on my black striped pants!
theres nothing new here (not unless you count the banana hues and shiteous prints). everything is a regurgitation from previous seasons (hope she's nottaking notes from rick)!i mean, she cut off the sleeves of the current season cardigan and slapped a higher price tag on it. girl is crazy.
