NYC people: Need help finding a strategic marketing/branding job

hi all,

not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this
(faust, i can delete this post if it is in appropriate for the forum,
just let me know), BUT
i am in search of a strategic
marketing/branding job in new york (obviously). i'm moving to nyc with
my girlfriend in the next month and would like to sever ties with my
current job because i've grown tired of the work and want to do something more creative. i've sent my resume and cover letter to many
marketing/branding companies small and large and have not heard back
from any.

any leads would be much helpful. please pm me or post in this thread if you
know of any good jobs in this area/field. i have resume and can
turnaround a cover letter in no time.

my background:
- senior consultant @ boutique consulting firm
- 3 years experience of project experience, leading many efforts
- run a record label
- graduated from a great university with a degree in computer science (i hate doing this stuff)
- very pleasant to be around and work with

i don't know any people in this industry, unfortunately. have you tried craigslist? there seem to be plenty of jobs like the one you are looking for.
