I'm back guys and getting very crazy about the fashion week and sales campaigns so I had no time to come back earlier.

As I promised I visited Issei Fujita to have a look at the development of his first women's collection and it was actually very nice.
The collection is small but efficient, using the iconic materials and shapes of the brand.

L&U woman wants to wear something light, comfortable and special for summertime and is eventually willing to mix materials and her boyfriend's vestiaire.
Some treatments of the fabrics refer to a used and light beam effects.

Here is a picture I took from the offer :

Issei Fujita is also about to expand his savoir-faire to more leather pieces and shoes so keep looking at what he is doing because the first samples I've seen are just amazing.

Is there anything about the new collection? There is another vague promo video (as per usual) here: http://vimeo.com/99379999

            Glow-in-the-dark anyone?

The seams on some of the garments do glow in the dark. There was a bit of experimentation with tech fabrics this time. The fabric you see in the beginning was developed by Issei, IIRC correctly mimicking an aerial shot of Japanese rice fields.

I was more enamored though with the knits LeU is starting to work with more - there was a cardigan and a pullover loosely knit from just the most beautiful black cotton with oversized hand-knit details - there is a picture of the detail on our Instagram account.

There were also many nice tops - really interesting seam work, many reversible. I thought this was one of the strongest LeU collections to date.

Thats pretty awesome! I've been experimenting with glow in the dark thread as well.

Issei is always experimenting and putting out exciting stuff! I wish there was more dialogue online about his work and design approach.

I agree. You can see that he puts thought into what he does.

Can't wait to see SZ's coverage. Won't cease fanboying even if I can't have almost all of it.
