I also was rather unimpressed with the various Kuboraums I've handled. In the end, I chose Rigards and have been more than satisfied with them. The only thing that kills me is the damn price tag, but after pulling the trigger, I forgot about the chunk of change and really love my pair. If you can afford them I say go for it. The horn is a wonderful material.

It depends on which models you have handled. Some are made from acetate, so, yes, they will feel more conventional, but others are made from metal. I don't know which ones you mean "with scratched patterns"?

        Maybe he meant these...

I'd agree that Kurobaums didn't seem "substantial", but I'm not sure why you'd want extra weight on your face.

These were the "scrathed" ones, K10 in acetate:

The metal ones look great, but the store I went to didn’t have them.

I don’t want my sunglasses to be super heavy. It was just the over-all feel to them that somehow put me off.

              Hello

I'm looking for optical eyewear and today I tried one Thom Browne's (tb807)and one Linda farrow's.(lfl367)
They are both marked "made in Japan": Thom Browne 's looks well made and solid however LInda farrow's looks fragile and poorly assembled..
Anyone knows about their production condition in Japan?
              Thank you in advance,

I have some pairs and I agree anything more weighty and I just wouldn't wear them, they already leave marks.

I'd say to have a look at Rigards. Since they're made of horn, they'll still be lightweight regardless of size.

Really like my new pair of optical eyewear. Comfortable and very Yohji

Nice pickup sunny! I'm wearing the same pair right now. I was a bit hesitant about round glasses, but they actually real nice. Still get called Harry Potter every now and then though

I've fallen in love with the BBS X WM Sunglasses. Very well put together sunglasses that scream steampunk. The only gripe I have about them is the nose bridge is smooth sterling so they slide down the nose religiously.
