xmas rant



small xmas rant:

one of my oldest and best friends was supposed to come stay w me in SF over the holidays. this was a trip he instigated since he had never been up here. at some point he decided stuff had come up (i assume he had to dj his lame indie club in la) and he was only going to stay xmas eve and xmas. well, he canceled that a couple of days ago after he lied about buying the ticket[N]. who the fuck does that...over xmas?? i mean this guy is a flake but this takes the flake chocolate ass cream cake...my parents had rearranged all these rooms, I had bought him a really nice gift. who the fuck does that. and he was too busy to call, just texted me...then he texted oh i'll see you in new york next month then....i replied, don't bother brother...haven't heard from the asshole since.

dude that blows. i have a few share of flaky friends, but that takes the flake chocolate ass cream cake srsly. i once called a friend and left her a message to tell her that i got engaged. she just texted me back the next day instead of calling. LAME.

Joey- Yea, we should all go grab a drink. Fuck shopping.

Texting has ruined conversations. I have so many friends who would much rather text than actually pick up the phone and call. That shit bugs me to no end. I mean, texting is good for little things like, "Yea, I'm on my way over." or "Let's grab a drink." But not, "Oh, I'm so happy for you and your engagement, best wishes...blah blah."

That sucks though pniddy, well I guess everything happens for a reason, or, at least that's what I've been told. Have a happy holidays fellas!

yeah, thanks guys, i needed to vent, i always seem to haveemotionally roughholidays...[:(]

i'm just as self-involved and selfish as everybody else, i'll always cop to that, but its the lack of class and disrespect that sometimes,conversely, only a great friend can bestow upon you is what astonishes me and sends me spinning into the outer nebulas. like spinning plates...

to be fair i get serious anxiety when talking on the phone and so try and avoid telephone conversations at all costs. ): sometimes i convince myself that a text (or even an e-mail...) will do even if it's something really significant hehe.
