Funny you should say that, Fuuma. I always say how I wish I had a coffee table so I can put my fashion books there. I'll make an improvised picture tonight. Yours is certainly a conversation starter. What is that collection of white volumes?

August Sander: people of the 20th century. If you have to own one photography book this should be it. Major inspiration for Yohji and amazing in itself.

      http://www.amazon.com/August-Sander-...2740713&sr=8-1

Price is extremely low on amazon for some reason.

This isn't a setup photo so you get to see my dvd rentals and some books I got from the library (YSL, 21th century design and Bottle and label design. I don't own many fashion books as I wouldn't know what to get...Maybe the Bless book, some Yohji (any good ones?) and I'd love a complete YSL retrospective but it doesn't exist AFAIK. The coasters are vintage (30+)and Goya-themed, stole them from my parents [64].

Amazon always has the best prices. I remember Yohji talking about that book. I should check it out.

That's a Nobuyoshi Araki book called Tokyo lucky hole. He's one of the greatest and most prolific Japanese photographers.

i own one of his polaroids. its of a bride splayed across a table. he shows at taka iishi gallery.

i also have that Sander collection. apparently we agree on some things. :)

One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.

+1, and Faust, even though you don't have a coffee table (wise move if you have children, they're a health hazard and will end up cluttered with toys) you probably have a magazine rack, stack or something similar.

absolutely nothing. i find clutter to be distracting. i'm either a minimalist or havea healthy doseofcompulsive disorders.
