LVR includes duty in their price and normally has a deal with DHL to waive customs. Antonioli is kind of vague about it. I would contact them before ordering. I ordered something and got hit with a bill, but after I emailed them they took care of it with DHL on their own.

Not sure about US, but Antonioli no longer has a prepaid arrangement (DDP) for shipment to Canada. LVR does, so all prices are inclusive of duties.

Robartes - seriously, you should probably skip them if you are that concerned. They are going to wear, scuff, change...evolve or devolve depending upon your mindset. You can't protect them as well as you can a standard boot but that's ok. I feel it's part of the process of owning and concept of the design. They have a good life span but if you're going to be pussy footing around town worrying about scuffing your 2k sneaks....is it worth it?

It's really not worth it but i've bloody done it anyway.
i'll learn the hard way and be thinner in the process

How formal is the wedding? In proper menswear I believe wingtips are considered a more "casual" shoe, so one would tend to pair with a sports coat rather than a suit. What's wrong with a black suit and shoes? Paint it black!

Has anyone handled what is called "Glasgow Leather" on the Rick Owens London site? I believe its calf but would like to know if it is as thick, heavy and awesome as it looks in the pics. The stooges on there looks like armor.
