Thanks man, cutting an insole in half is a neat idea that I didn't think of. For now I think I'll leave them as they are and see if I just get used to them since they are pretty comfortable as is and don't move on my feet.

Btw, I like your sig haha.

^ Brilliant Lowery!(5-15)I know I'm too accepting of some of these styles or have lost some of my playfulness in looking at them not to see relationships like this.

I see a whole new line of accessories- time for someone to take the Mr. Potato Head idea and run with it.

        Said with love.

          What to wear with these?

Wearing them with black shorts, socks & sweater at the moment
Thinking of getting cuffed pants and some kind of top.

considering re-dying my BBS FW09 jacket black, it got a brownish hue now, is it possible? It's this one, and it's the hammered lamb leather version. (not my image)

Any suggestions for a good tailor in Los Angeles? The tailoring thread doesn't have anything, SuFu is all about denim, and Yelp has mixed reviews for everyone.

                    Bamba soles

Anyone here worn these Bambas out?

Have been using them with heel taps glued on but sole seems substantially less resistant than current model Bamba sole...

Any experience in sneaker vibramming so that it doesn't look like a hack job and ruin the silhouette? Or should I just savor them for special occasions?

Mikko I have those as well, hmm it depends on your taste if you want to vibram them, I got no experience with it though.. from my own experience he wants you to beat those sneakers up and skate with them etc. I am still trying to get mine fucked up.

If its a flat sole (can't remember exactly), I don't see any problem with adding a thin full length rubber sole. I've added such to my A1923 sneakers and you barely notice them. My cobbler had roughly 3mm and 5mm thick ones at least which had a pretty good grip.

mikko when you go to the cobbler, ask him to show you the material he will use first, so that you get the softness/hardness that you want. he might otherwise put on a very hard material for added durability (if you ask for a thin sole). and a very hard material will not be as comfortable for your step. better to go for a softer one and replace it more often, imo.

This may seem like a weird question, but if you guys were to wear some of your boots with shorts (not cargo shots) on, do they ever seem comically large on your feet when compared to if you wear them with pants?

The kind of boots I'm referring to are sidezips/backzips like Carpes, Augustas, CCP etc. not lace ups.
