haha oh no no, i don't have any of these. i was being facetious, with the smirk and the quotation marks....i think i counted like 15 pairs so that's a good 30-40k i think. i think i'drather get a car! these photos are from a japanese shop called Ard, who stocks Gustavolins, Avantindietro, & Augusta now. i thought the sheer cost of owning all these pairs (multiple pairs of same shoe)would be an immediate giveaway that one person wouldn't own all these shoes (brand new deliveries, too), but i guess on this board maybe it's not so implausible! if i had a pair of cdiem 5-holes, ccp s/s 07 cordovan oxfords and ccp f/w 05/06 diagonal zips, i'd be set.

ill foter fo shizzle...

I was struck most by the face that the Augusta "wraparounds" came with green laces. That makes me think now that the rear stud/eye snap closure on the back of them doesn't hold up well to movement and so you have to reinforce by wrapping a lace around the upper to hold it in place.

Is there a good source for Augustas in Europe (France, England, Germany)? I'm heading over in about six weeks and I wonder if I'd be able to see them in person. The price tag will make me cry, but....

The augusta footwear is the most amazing I have seen.. I have 4 pairs of CDiems and I am thinking of trading some.. Lastly, The Augusta's at atelier or much more bespoke and interesting than what is being carried at barneys.. not sure why that is.. but, the two lines look totally different..

The Augusta at Atelier was essentially specially commissioned. Simone came to the store and together with Atelier worked out all the design specifications and details that they wanted. I have yet to see the color changing leather stuff anywhere else!
