Central Valley High School in Orange County New York, is suspending students and giving them warnings for wearing scarves and other outer wear in the classroom, regardless if for warmth or style. I spent the week at a conference (I'm changing grad schools, so this is a big networking thing), managed to talk with the guy who came up with the ideas I want to work on, establish that he's taking students, and not embarrass myself. He asked me to send a CV and Statement of purpose. I carefully customized a statement for him, attached it to an email, and sent it. I did NOT save and close it, so I sent a statement of purpose that goes on about how I would really love to go to a different school and study with a different professor.
