Also if you go to DSM (which you should) you could stop by Hankyu, it's not as big or crowded as Isetan but still has lots of Undercover and SZ brands. The less busy atmosphere also means staff are nicer, but don't let this put you off Isetan, the food court alone is worth it.

Also if you're into it the Loopwheeler store is good for basics, Contemporary Fix has good brands and ice cream, Lad Musician is always a treat, and the secondhandstores like Ragtag are fun, sometimes you get lucky and find a great piece.

Also second faust in recommending the UC flagship in Aoyama, great neighborhood to walk around, Loveless is nearby, a cool CDG store and the Prada building is beautiful.

Any stores of note in Kobe other than Cathedral and Shelter?

I'm currently visiting Tokyo and was wondering if there is any shopping related reason to visit the Devoa flagship store in Setagaya...I've been to some local shops to try on some gear and I'm generally too big (size 48) for most of the stuff in stock.

There is nothing around his flagship, and it's not easy to find it at some kind of gallery near the train station. But there is a designer's workshop inside the store and you have a chance to meet Daisuke Nishida there as I did.

the flags ship had size 3 and 4 so i would say it is worth it.

I've read a bit of this thread - many good tips. Thanks to all who contributed.

I've been told (by many) that there are some great consignment stores to score some out-of-date gems (think Yohji, CDG + other Japanese staples). I've done a bit of searching and can't really find anything. If anyone has some suggestions, it'd be much appreciated.

+ If anyone has some suggestions for Osaka I'd be very grateful.

osaka, i picked up some really good stuff for very cheap, in tokyo there's great stuff but the pricing is more standard, however in osaka i got two pairs of ann sneakers for £30-£55 each. In osaka, only advice i can offer is to check all kind-al/rag tag branches thats what i did, not sure of any individual ones like there are in tokyo - sure there are

That's a great find. I wore a pair of low top Ann's to a festival where it rained the entire time and long story short, they need replacing.

Did you pick them up at a Rag Tag or Kindal in Osaka, or was it a more specialised consignment store?
