I am in favor of a little fetishism when it comes to objects--so as long as its attached to their material properties and not to their commodity qualities (status, value, etc.)

I think it's the former that mostly goes on at SZ. (edit: or at least is going on in this thread)

look i'm sorry i pissed you off. this was not a dis to the intelluctuals here. it was simply meant to be a logical extension and creative means to an end of the fetishization and price points and stockists and retailers that has become the main conversation here. sometimes my attempts to be subversive don't work, i'll ack that. but dont hate on pnod for trying.

i understand (now that you've explained it), but reveling in one's grave only makes it deeper. i think your subversion had an opposite effect - you've succeeded in pissing me off, while the fetish went unnoticed (except maybe by kira) [86]. ok, peace.

I really enjoy the notion of looking at pieces in this kind of manner. I think it is interesting when an 'object of affection' becomes the visual subject. We do this with so many things. I did not feel that it was a dis to the intellectual side of things at all. Honestly, I thought it was quite brilliant. Peace brothas.[51] I cant help but [64] those grey boots. [86]

when i saw you write 'peace brothas' i pictured you in the same pose in that old pic of you with the patterned shirt except throwin up the deuce as well.

this kind of shoe view is interesting, normally it has connotations of being relaxed in a somewhat decadently idle manner...a lot of styleforum MC posters do that with their WAYWTs though. i wonder if anyone in the office ever walks by and complains...
