I am always attracted to hyperrealistic drawing/painting of Roberto Bernardi. He deceived his audience so beautifully.

Found out about this artist through Richard Prince's twitter -

Check out http://peterphopkins.com! Peter P. Hopkins is an artist of more than 3 decades. His works have been displayed throughout the United States and abroad. Hopkins is known for his bleach, foil, perfume and covered sites paintings.

Don't dig too much where his work went after this period and he discovered perfume, but for a moment there in the early 80s I think he was on to something. Maybe a something that couldn't possibly have led to anywhere else in terms of progression and growth, but it was something nonetheless.

I gotta say many people interpret this painting differently. For my case it's imagination is boundless, i might not be with the woman i love.. But in my imagination we will end up together somehow. Hate melodrama like this :(
