not what i expected but i'm not hating this I like some of the tops and the styling on some of the looks is actually pretty good, granted some look awkward but overall I kind of like this

really feeling this kind of look even supposing it probably wouldn't fly anywhere outside of Miami.

Wow, this is a radical departure. She seems to have gotten out of her retro 70s mode... as well as her usual presentation (this is the first runway show I can recall VB ever doing). I really like it - it's the same kind of non-fashion fashion that I usually expect from Margiela.

The colours scheme is quite different, the material lighter and this results in a clear "at the beach" vibe but the cuts are consistant with what she usually does, although there are less full-cut 70s pants than usual, they are still present in the show. I like it a lot, one of the best so far with CdG, YSL and McQueen.

Bumping this up. Has anyone seen any pieces yet in the stores?

In a bland S/S season, THIS is fresh (although not typical of VB):

I've seen some for sure, but just a very small bit. I'm curious to see what is out there as I think it's a good collection.

I've seen this blazer. Single, cloth covered, oversized button with slightly curved sleeves, all complete with a very tailored fit. The cotton is a bit heavy for summer, though.

This shirt jacket is light and airy, and reminds me of a Margiela jacket that is out this season. Nothing too special, imo.

I think this is still my overall favourite for ss09 just because almost everything is something I would wear.
                            Suede is too Gucci.

she is a professor at the uni here,
and some student from her class
said that this is the first collection which
was designed by her assistant, that's why
it looks a bit different then previous veronique stuff...

                              however love that collection.
