Faust, I'd love to hear your opinion on this collection!

Sure thing. I think it's a bit of an improvement - there is a little more tailoring, although it looks a bit sloppy (I guess he's going for the unstructured effect, but does not quite achieve it). Take away the loosey goosey nonsense, and it looks like there is no more than a dozen pieces though? I still don't like his silhouette - most things are too long and too loose. The non-tailored jackets look good though, and so does that coat.

Still, other looks are borderline Costume National meets Kris van Asche.

I like the shades he picks, they are very vivid. I don't know - I am not a fan by any means - it's easily forgettable. He's getting into the right stores though, so I wish him luck - hopefully he will progress. The final test will be seeing this in stores. The pictures never fully reflect construction and fabrics.

in my opinion not up to par with the f/w collection, but still pretty nice

regarding the Van Ass comparion, I hope thats just due to the somewhat shiny material [86]

it looks acceptable on the runway but... I think most of us would look really stupid wearing this stuff.

feels like he's trying to define your style ... like there's no room for creativity for the wearers.

maybe I'm growing out of the crazy avant garde drapey stuff.

i am really not so sure about this collection. A lot of pieces look kind of.. hm.. how to put it.. unfinished? or stuck in the design process.

i wouldn't say it's totally uninspired, for it is not.... but hm.. it's just doesn'T make.. u "click" with me... can't really put a name to it. Just like something is missing *shrug*

I'm liking these two looks alot, I was a little unimpressed with the bulk of this collection it seems all over the place and uninspired. I would have liked more of the usual light layering pieces in white, off white, beige rather than a mix of unconstructed loosely fitting whites grays and blacks pieces.

all in all I was hoping for more but the collection wasn't a failure

Yep. That's it. I got three pieces this season and I'm hooked. Just need some of his bottoms from S/S 09.

so true. the wearability to availability is approaching critical mass, but it doesn't seem like he's lost his edge.

great so all of inaya's photos have been lost across the board?

Cannot remember this being posted here but I might be wrong, or perhaps it's just irrelevant and obvious. Anyway, the guy has a website, I thought it was nice to see some of the s/s 08 in hi-res, since I haven't seen any pieces in person. Strange they didn't publish the first show or whatever that was..
