I know I suck, but I've been watching all the reruns of Next Top Model - All Countries. Currently on the UK one, season 4 I think? Judt started so don't ruin it for me

Also, can't wait for the Champions League final!

My company party is that night, and we are heading South (whole company - 150+) for three days, final in the middle of it, so lot's of drinking and lot's of socializing. Hmh, now all I need to do is pick my outfit

I find the champions league a bit boring as it's always the same teams going to the semi's and the final. The premier league is just miles ahead of all of the others.

I also think that the Champions should only be for the Champions of each respective league, not a pool of runners up. The group stages are dreadfully boring.

Being sick of being to events with Dima Bilan singing two days in a row (its not as bad as it may sound), and having to go spend yet another evening ahead of contemptating contemporary art brought by Maria Baibakova (should not be total trash), I decided to have a journey into the dark trashof russian arthouse. And quite naturally there is no better choice than:

"Выблядки" (Vyablyandki) by the infamous art-exile Oleg Mavromatti.

If you want complete Kubric inspired kitshy russian trash movie of doom shot by man who is the enemy of the state still (Russian Orthodox Church is really annoyed by his last art perfomance he made. Which included being crucified next to the Church of Christ Savoir face to the cross with "I am not child of God" carved on his back...

well this is what I am watching.

Not recomended for watching... But broadens horizons of filth that is the core of rotten post modernism.

Watched this documentary again today about "The Swenkas", a group of men in South Africa who come together every Saturday all dressed up to compete against each other to find out who got the most swagger and also a cash prize. Kinda like what we do in the WAYWT, no?

My last fit was very much inspired by this movie.

I just finnished watching Cannibal Holocaust by Ruggero Deodato and it was a huge disappointment. It was supposed to be one of the most repugnant movies ever to be made, but to be honest I didn't feel anything at all watching it. Aesthetically it wasn't very interesting either, and the acting was bad. I did like the soundtrack though, it worked very well throughout the movie. Next I'm watching 'Salò or 120 days of Sodom' by Pasolini and 'Irreversible' by Gaspar Noé, of which I'm especially looking forward to the first one.

Good movies I watched recently: Lars von Triers new movie "Antichrist", highly recommend this. A quite intellectual movie about losing and grieving with a unexplainable dreamy feel to it - also for once the personification of evil in this movie is a woman. Anti feminism some say, the apex within equal rights the instructor says.
Also saw "The Wrestler" (I think this movie is not new in the US), but it's basically Mickey Rourke in the best role of his life, acting as an old wrestler struggling to make things work after his career has ended. Mickey himself was a (quite bad) boxer many years ago, going through many of the same things the main character does, which I think shows in his acting in this movie.
