with the weather warming up, I've been making a lot of pisco sours recently, as well as gary regan's elderflower variant, the peruvian eldersour.

2 oz pisco (ideally barsol acholado)
1 oz st germain
1/2 oz lime juice

shake, strain, and serve (up). garnish with a half lime wheel

regan doesn't call for bitters, but I find that finishing it w/ a dash of angostura really helps to unify the flavors. your mileage may vary...regardless, this is an awesomely refreshing cocktail.

edit: and real real, next time your whipping up a batch of radcliffe's punch with a 97 climens, shoot me a pm. needless to say, I am down.

Captain Morgan, very sweet. Don't need to add anything, just rocks and maybe lime.

If you like Captain Morgan, try finding a bottle of Old Monk - it's a vanilla-scented rum from India. If you like Captain Morgan, you will probably like Old Monk, but Old Monk has a lot more going on.

I've also been drinking a lot of Pink Gin (I always like them, but particularly around this time of year)...I think it's the perfect drink. Depending on when I drink it, it makes me hungry or settles my stomach, it's good by itself and it's good with food, you can drink a lot of it without getting drunk, it tastes good cold and it tastes good once it's warmed up, and it's near impossible to screw it up.
