The old fashioned is a great drink - it doesn't have orange liquor in it, though. It might have an orange wedge muddled around in it (which can make the drink too sweet), but that's it. There are a lot of variations that are good - Dutch gin old-fashioned, the Sazerac (which has rye, Peychaud's bitters, sugar, and absinthe)...make it with gin and take the sugar out and you've got a pink gin.

drinking a duvel right now sort of weirded out. was supposed to hang out w good friend of mine couple days ago but didn't happen. rescheduled for sat. didn't hear from him. got an email today saying he had to run around bc he had to catch a flight. wait for it. to Pakistan. I've never known anyone who has gone to Pakistan. but WTF? who dies that says their in Pakistan like it's like their local bar. fuck. I hate worrying about my douchebag friends.One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.

i mean to start off with, i find the australian wines lacking in complexity. there's plenty of bolt fruit (especially the merlots i tried), and the syrahs are pretty nice and strong too, but often they fail to provide an interesting/ complex tannin and after taste.
i'm looking for something that can disprove that judgement i guess, cos i know thats not true across the board.
