S/Z is the title of a freudian-structuralist analysis written by Roland Barthes upon Balzac's short-story "Sarrasine". The first time I heard about SZ, I thought : "WTF, a website dedicated to fashion referring to Barthes ?!?. Nice, I''ve got to reach this place".

i'd like to take this opportunity to point out a feature that, while common on other sites, was missing from the first version of the site so it deserves mention here:
you can ignore specific users by clicking "user cp" on the top left, then "edit ignore list" in the left nav.
very helpful for filtering out the noise...Comment
