Stayed in the Marai last time in an apartment, location was amazing, owner was annoying.
Anyone got any suggestions? I noticed someone had a much nicer apartment last season but cant recall who?

I've heard of a really good and moderately priced hotel on the Ile Saint Louis or Ile de la Cité. I can try to find the info from my friend if anyone is interested.

snafu, I think there's a rather large hostel not far from my place in the 5th arrondissement (near place Monge), I can also check them out for you and let you know about cleanliness/price/availability you want. The neighbourhood is super cute, but not fashion/trendy. It's not super far from the marais, but not really next door either. I usually bike or walk there, so it's doable.

I'm also up for meetups if anyone wants, but I know I'm the new kid so you all probably don't care. plus I'm not invited to anything and I'm not sure I feel like hustling my way in, although I used to do it for gigs all the time when I was younger...

Cool, I used to live in the 1st. It's a lot closer to most of the shows. If you want info on where to eat/grocery shop or other similar everyday things, I probably know so don't hesitate to ask
