has anybody had problems with orders from the web store in late november last year during the sale?
made a purchase during the sale and was charged the full amount
the sruli recht team explained over email that the discount was supposed to have been applied but there is some problem with the Shopify mechanism they were using
that was in early december 2012. haven't heard back from the team since despite a couple of chasers and am posting here to see if anybody has had a similar experience
*if any member of the team is reading kindly do me the courtesy of a response, which has been outstanding since early december last year. alternatively if the correct email is no longer order@srulirecht.com, please provide the new contact details, thank you

I always knew Sruli Recht was eccentric, but he's doing some really impressive things. He has a spider silk scarf on his website now. Chinorlz posted here about spider silk in general a couple of years ago.
Spider silk is extremely strong, rare, and difficult to work with. As far as I know, is the strongest fabric there is, natural or synthetic. The US government is actually spending millions to put the gene into goats to make better military clothing. It's amazing that Sruli managed to get enough to make a scarf. Believe it or not, at 1800 euros it's an absolute steal. Most of his showpieces are brilliant.
