has anybody had problems with orders from the web store in late november last year during the sale?

made a purchase during the sale and was charged the full amount

the sruli recht team explained over email that the discount was supposed to have been applied but there is some problem with the Shopify mechanism they were using

that was in early december 2012. haven't heard back from the team since despite a couple of chasers and am posting here to see if anybody has had a similar experience

*if any member of the team is reading kindly do me the courtesy of a response, which has been outstanding since early december last year. alternatively if the correct email is no longer order@srulirecht.com, please provide the new contact details, thank you

    thanks

I always knew Sruli Recht was eccentric, but he's doing some really impressive things. He has a spider silk scarf on his website now. Chinorlz posted here about spider silk in general a couple of years ago.

Spider silk is extremely strong, rare, and difficult to work with. As far as I know, is the strongest fabric there is, natural or synthetic. The US government is actually spending millions to put the gene into goats to make better military clothing. It's amazing that Sruli managed to get enough to make a scarf. Believe it or not, at 1800 euros it's an absolute steal. Most of his showpieces are brilliant.

EDIT: Just saw there's also a spider silk t-shirt.

I see it for 3600 Euros, are you getting a discount somewhere?

It was 50% off when I posted. I guess it's back to full price now. Still, if money was no object for me I'd buy it in a heartbeat. It's amazing stuff.

Does his clothing start from size 2? Why there is no size 1?

ahhh haha yeah he had that 50% sale a while back, it was pretty good.

And he definitely does size 1... pretty sure size 0 is where he starts, but I'm usually a size 2

Does anyone actually own that Spider Silk T-Shirt?

Is there a reason Concentrated AW'13 was never released? Collection's lookbook is on the website... Do they plan on producing SS'14 / 'Cargo Cultured'?

Seems like his only output lately has been the odd product design or performance/installation.

Even a t-shirt i ordered from last spring only arrived this month (due to apparent production delays)

Curious to know what's going on

Sruli is taking a break from fashion for the foreseeable future. (Alliteration not intentional.)

Ah, that's unfortunate. But perhaps for the best – last available collection was (IMO) a step backwards when compared to his earlier work (clich not intentional).

'Cargo Cultured' did look quite promising though

Hope he's able to come back refreshed / in a less traditional capacity

    Thanks for the insight

Sorry to hear that, but I'm sure something good will come out that hiatus, even though it might not be in fashion. Looking forward to see what Recht does next.

Fingers crossed the Sruli Recht boutique will still be opened in June, when I will pay Reykjavk a visit. It is at the top of my to-do-list.
