I really dont see that strong of a resemblence to any other brand. there might be some familiar elements, but at the same time he has a pretty distinguishable style imo.

Very Rick Owens inspired no? The Tank, leather hooded jacket ,Cardigan etc. Atleast of the stuff I see at Blackbird.Hopefully the quality and construction is excellent BUT how do you warrant the price tag ? Its the same Augusta / Poell debate.

The prices are very competitive I think.
Mid 200 for the wrap cardigan while Rick's is 900+ in the US this season! The tanks are also $100 less than Rick's.

The pricing is far better than I expected, considering the materials and the size of the production runs.

some of those pieces are definitely oven rip offs (tanks, cardigan), but the pants look super dope. if they were cheaper i would kop. i would probably pick up the basics just cause they're cheaper (there's a trend. i'm cheap). i hope he does some dual layer shirts too.

on the spring season tanks at least the only similarity with RO or Ann is the round hem, the material is completely different

I'm liking what I see so far. There are similarities with other brands, sure, but we live in a day where it's becoming harder and harder to differentiate yourself from the crowd. Prime example being movies and television. Fashion is no different.

I'm all about the cheap(er) alternatives as well ddohnggo. Picked up one of those tanks as I can't yet stomach paying over 2 bills for one.
