Margiela is credited as one (of I think 3) Costume Designers in Greenaway's The Pillow Book (1996). The film starts out at a fashion show with some wild designs - like an outfit made out of bubble wrap. Watching the film you don't get the sense that Margiela is in every scene, but you definitely do in the beginning. Possibly Greenaway brought him in just for that opening scene!?

Definitely Agree with this.
Apart from the particularly imaginative design of creatures,
the strongly textured clothing in hues of green blends in particularly well with the gloom and mystery of the movie.


imdb says that Lara Huete did the costume design.
I've never heard of her but appearantly she did costume for a great many of Spanish films.
