Generally, the softer the skin, the more it will stretch. I believe I read that they are available in sheepskin, which sounds the softest. The only problem is that the softest skins, which will stretch the most, will be the most delicate as well. I'm guessing that donkey would be the happy medium between soft/stretchy, yet still tough. The donkey I tried were super comfortable, like bedroom slippers.

From my experience, the shaft of the reverse calf boots stretch quite a bit.

it will stretch. i had the same problem with the ones i tried on atelier - mine are already stretching with two wears and I can tuck my skinniest pants in them. i am still not crazy about the overly skinny profile, of the shaft, but it's growing on me and I know they will stretch more.

i have another question - just like i was afraid of, the place where the back zipper starts rubs against my heel. does this go away with wear? i am careful to put that small piece of leather to cover the zipper, but they still hurt.

^^ the zipper has a thin piece of leather that covers the backing correct? you say, it's still causes a good amount of discomfort?

Faust this should go with time personally if they are still tight i would just go with trying thicker socks this should help the zipper idea and stretch them out. But like you said after two wears they are already giving just try them out for a week or two and they will fit so comfortably.

                        • i could barely close the ones i tried over my ankle, and the ones i tried were already used by someone else. albeit very skinny guy, so i guess they could do with more stretching.

faust same as me ... probably same back zip
these might work better for you as my ankles are skinny but i found a 42 loose after wearing a for a while.

snafu, in such a case would you say sizing up one is fine? i have fairly narrow feet and chose to size up one on a special order (donkey), should work out fine i suppose?
