I assume their name is a classic example of the Japanese stringing together a bunch of english words which sound cool to them, but are bizarre, meaningless and potentially hilarious to us.

Still, I dig a lot of their stuff.
Their sneakers are the robotech-cousins of Rick's.

JCR: Where did the name Diet Butcher Slim Skin come from, is it a punk rock name?

HF: It doesn't have any meaning. I liked the name because it has beat and rhythm.

Knits are so nice, will be priced at about 29,000 yen i hear.... hmm i may have to cop.

I think most of their lines are usually mediocre with a few nice pieces here and there. I like the bird campaign visually but I think the marketing overshadows the actual clothing in most of those photos.
Plus, those studded knock offs of the RO sneaker were an embarrassment to shoes.
I've seen some decent denim treatments that they've offered in seasons past and some decent outerwear but I just get the feeling that the brand doesn't know what it wants to be yet. Lack of direction, maybe.

I always check out their pieces when I'm somewhere that I can but I never expect too much from them.

yea i agree. erosion and 09ss are mediocre. the only consistency so far is quality. im getting an undercover vibe from this collection. i hope they'd set foot on something and expand on that.

The juxtaposed arrangement of the pockets is not bad. I like they have extended the length of this motorcycle leather/jacket style. It does not look forced. Not my style, but good to play with classics in this way.



The sweaters are elegant in execution. I like the open knit down the back as icing on the cake.

Very much like bird's head too. I want bird head and big shovel.

The sneakers will be shipping regularly to stores I think either October or November. Can't remember off the top of my head. The mid-winter has a handful of pretty cool pieces.

All of the knits this season are seriously nice. I have three from last year and already bought the long red cardigan from this season so I really don't need more.. but it is difficult to resist alpaca...
