The thing with Messi is that up until recently, he had never really made a difference in a big game. I can't see them picking anyone else for the Ballon d'Or now though. Not that he doesn't deserve it; He got 3rd 2 years ago, 2nd last year and put in his best performance yet this season.

Seriously, what's happening to the team? It's gonna be the first time since 1982 that Mexico doesn't qualify. The last few games I saw seemed like they didn't really care much, such a lack of energy. On the other hand, teams like Honduras and USA are really improving, so that could also be a factor.

So Real Madrid have just agreed a fee for Benzema for 35 mil euros.

They have had the most insane transfer window already:

                  Ronaldo
                  Kaka
                  Raul Albiol
                  Benzema

With rumors of Ribery, and Xabi Alonso on the way. Their line-up looks frightening.

funny that they have signed a French man of Algerian decent, the most popular Brazilian and a Portuguese superstar. History does repeat itself . One of them even has the same name and number of one of the prior Galacticos!

I must say that La liga is going to be quite interesting this season..
As a Barcelona fan, I am glad to see them do this desperate tactics..
But I guess they really want to win the champions league in bernabeu..
Anyway what they really need is a good stopper and a good coach to mange the new galacticos..
                    Barca 4 ever

How much money does that club have? It'd be hilarious if Barcelona wins again. It sounds like there is going to be too much ego on the Real Madrid squad this season. Some teams never learn that all you need is just one-two superstars surrounded by young talented hungry players.

Manchester United 4 - 0 AC Milan (7 - 2 on aggregate). Apart from a brief period in the first half where AC Milan had some chances, this was a one-sided affair. 2 goals from Rooney sank the Rossoneri early on.

On a side note, I wonder if Beckham's dedication to AC Milan will be questioned after this, as he was the only player on the losing team smiling at 4-0 down.
