let us raise a toast to ancient cotton, rotten voile, gloomy silk, slick carf, decayed goat, inflamed ram, sooty nelton, stifling silk, lazy sheep, bone-dry broad & skinny baffalo.

Looks to be a mishmash of stuff. Very unfocused.

I'm not keen to judge julius based on the presentation or styling on the runway.

It's a shame to see that most of the tailoring is gone, though that's what the MA line is for. The white is welcome and feels fresh, but seems to lose the grimy industrial Julius flavor without retaining the austerity of collections past and some influences are more apparent here (Guidi twinkle toes, Damir nomadic styling). Overall some interesting pieces and good knits, looking forward to seeing some of the fabrics up close.

It's their second SS show in Paris so let's hope they get a little more international exposure.

Also, lulz at the manifestos on the runway floor.

For once Mikelowrey's picture don't do justice to the show, this was absolutely great. I still can't make the looks I don't like catch fire though...

I agree. The military influence and sher severity I've come to really enjoy from Julius isn't there this time. It's a softness I don't fully appreciate given previous collections, especially since there are other designers who do it so well. I do see some nice pieces, but the collection as a whole is just lukewarm, rather than scorching like the A/W 09.10 collection.

Like someone else said, maybe we have to wait for the individual pieces. It's definitely like that for me with BBS...

had a feeling this season was going to be a redux of SS07 underworld. not sure how I feel about this presentation yet, need more detailed pics but nothing is really jumping out at me. even leather wise nothing is standing out to me, the moto collar is just a toned down version of the original ram rider (without chest pockets, but still keeping the horizontal pocket that wonkies up the fit a bit, and adding some unnecessary nipple snaps underneath the collar and at the bottom), not feeling the double zip leather (middle zip feels superfluous) or the obscur-esque peen flap leather either. heh, that yellow leather is wack... lol at bt in nearly every pic .

thank god all that industrial cargo nipple button shit is gone. still not entirely digging this but it's closer to the julius i love than the previous installments of industrial insanity v.1, v.2, v.3
