Just finished watching Darker than black season 1, it was much better than i expected. Getting a bit tired of the super(anti)hero theme though. Anyone watched the later seasons?

Darker than Black is one of my favorite animes of all time. Season 2 is just as good as season 1, if not better.

Also, REDLINE was awesome! (cheesy ending aside) thanks for that recommendation! Finished Stein's gate as well, I find it quite similar to Noein, albeit Stein's gate is clearer about whats happening. Noein was literally bewildering LOL...

Anyone have recommendations for any of the newer shows?

paranoia agent was awesome. It's a relatively short series too so it's easy to get down. It's very compelling and psychological, I'd really recommend it.

I know it's aimed for kids, but Hellsing might be one of the worst mainstream anime/ova/mangas I've ever viewed. The anime series had an amazing OST though (same guy as Darker than black).

Catching up on the last few pages some really good recommendations, need to find time to watch them all.

i loved hellsing both the manga and anime. I don't know how it's aimed at kids considering how gory it is. It's not exactly the best story (hell it's ridiculous) but the art style and fight scenes are really well done.

Has anyone read Holyland? I just started it and I'm enjoying it. The protagonist has a NGE Shinji like attitude. It has the tendency to get a bit lengthy though in its martial arts explanations, hopefully that diminishes as the manga procreeds.
