Yes. I think they are interesting and definitely fresh in the way that they hover in the aesthetic I like, but manage to stand apart. There is a historical sense in them but with a sense of a modern touch. The cuts on most pieces are very slim. Interesting transition for Jona. I was anticipating a more typically contemporary feel with the articulation of styling and pattern adjustments (for the coats, in particular) and I'm glad that that's what was conceived. The most intriguing aspect of the collection was the extension of the sleeves. The use of the green tone was aesthetically bold, but in such a cohesive way as to not elicit too dramatic of a responsive shock. i also managed to see the collection in person. and i strongly feel that he is improving with every season he does. the materials he uses are really beautiful and fit perfectly into his aesthetic.
some of the materials i loved were..
the "stone-like" textures leathers.
and this pintucked cotton, were the lines appear to change depending on the angle it is viewed.
I think he is having a presentation in NY coming up in the fall, and if anyone has the chance should definitely go check it out.Comment
