Quite late but Rough Trade in the East End is definetly worth a visit, alot of cool record shops around Brick Lane as well check that out next time you're in London

Depends on what sort of music you're looking for, but Phonika records in Soho is good. Crypt Of The Wizard on Hackney Road in East is worth a visit if you're looking for metal records as well.

yeh, as mentioned above really depends what kind of music you're after.

The state of record shops in London has declined over the past 15-20 years (for obvious reasons).

All Ages in Camden covers punk and hardcore (though has the obvious negative of being in Camden).

Rough Trade is by far the best all round record shop. the much declined Berwick Street in Soho has Sister Ray, and Flashback (good 2nd hand sections) has branches in Islington and up Brick Lane (so close to Rough Trade, Eizenstein and Hostem)

Highly recommend Swiss Cottage Sound & Vision. It's a little out but great selection of the best brands. Do try to audition the Chord Dave (DAC/AMP) or the Chord Hugo 2 if you get the chance. Hard to go back after that.

I'm female, but I keep my hair short...
