I like the look of the pieces but think the styling / setting is pretty weak.

absolutely. even if the pieces aren't things i could see myself wearing, i've always loved the lookbooks. i think the presentation of the clothing has really drawn me to the brand, and kept me interested.

You've probably seen it at NVREND already, but it is Obscur S/S 11 so why not post it here, too:

This image was too large to post in a humane way:

        Great job, Heirloom!

I don't see why people label this goth-ninja. It's straight goth. And this guy is the king of it. I think he's doing a lot of things that others aren't. If you're pushing yourself in this aesthetic it's bound to be costumey. But when you take it apart and wear it on your own it can look really good. Can't wait to see more.

I hope the sizing on the jackets (excluding leathers) has sized down. They've been fucking huge. I swim in smalls.

"Most of the time, I imagine myself being somewhere else when designing my clothes [...] I design my own satisfaction"

"For OBSCUR, the process of creating a garment is as important as the result itself"

Without even seeing the collection, just reading that would have me hooked. I like the fact that the creative process is given importance, not just the idea behind the garment, but the actual making of it. Of course it does also help that the finished result is good!

Most of their stuff is too extreme for me, but this is one of my alltime favorite pieces. The light grey and wrinkled leather makes me feel as if the coat was snatched off a buried angel - what was once white and pure has degraded and been covered in dust.

holy batman, this is some serious carpe diem ripoff, down to the hook/eye and collar.

Anyway, although a blatant ripoff, at least we get more of them :D
