Actually from your description i think some of your images capture the ambience better than the crisper shots

A politely bad review. I thought the show was tired and there is too much of the same stuff. A real let down after a fantastic show last winter.

catfood is right. even though it's a show and we don't/shouldn't/whatever mind rick sending the same look down the runway 4 times in a row, there's no point to it either. it makes the show boring and extremely tedious, which gives the collection the same feel, imo. i'm not excited at all, and i don't remotely want anything except for the things rick does every season. yawn.

I agree with Faust that in light of winter's amazing collection, this is anti-climactic in comparison.
I see some shapes that I like here but my real problem is one that's also been pointed out already: Most of the looks either seem too similar to things we've already seen or like a good idea that has been taken a bit too far.

The waders just seem 100% impractical in a line where most of Rick's clothes seem so easy to wear in the big scheme of things.

I brought up the question of how far rick can take his aesthetic as other clothing companies get closer and closer to knocking off his line and his pieces...It's almost like he wants to take it in a direction where it's a little less practical and more dramatic so that only the die-hard fans will indulge.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm a 'basics' guy from day to day but I always look for a seasonal piece in each line that I can pick up that will be less practical and a little more dramatic. I don't really see anything here I feel compelled to track down and sometimes that's a relief.

It is so selfless of Christian to photograph the runway shows. And he does it for all you SZ members. He gets paid nothing and actually denies himself the joy of immersing himself in the whole experience. His view is through the camera. Tunnel vision isn't the best way to see a show, but he does it for us. Thank a trillion squared Christian. You are the best man on SZ! PERIOD!

It really is moving into a vision of the grotesque body. Some forms and shapes appear to be bloated, others appear to engulf the wearer, and sometimes the garment itself... At least it's more interesting than Strutter.
