This blazer is the only major piece of Ann D. that I own. I wish I can tear myself away from Dick and appreciate the softer Ann pieces, but for now this is the best I can do.

And you'll have it forever, because few blazers are as timeless as Ann's.
Most people don't realize that her leathers have always sold for more than even Rick's, and this one's no exception – yet because it's one you can reach for 3 seasons out of 4 for years to come, you'll have easily gotten your money's worth when you do the math.

That said, you have such a striking face, my dear, especially doing a red lip and blunt bangs – and nothing should be competing for attention. All the layers of drapiness under the jacket, especially at this longer length, imo, do just that.

Even great clothes can become a liability the moment flow is overtaken by "busy".
Paired with something simpler/ more clean-lined would return the eye to where it
belongs: above the neck, not below it. ;)

The problem is I'm constantly drawn to Rick's dramatic, structured leather pieces, far more often than Ann's romantic ones. I love how Ann's clothes look on the runway, but as soon as they get separated on the hangers I'm rather at a loss on what to do with them.

Really appreciate your constructive input. It's a bit of a habit of mine to keep piling on stuff which can get a little excessive sometimes. But I've just moved back closer to the Equator so I no longer have the luxury to wear more than two layers.
